Made one more movie of the year.

After last year’s fiasco with many missed days, I set a goal to cover as many days as possible. And at some point I realized that dynamic rhythm works better than steady one.

As someone wrote to me about the last movie, “all you have there is board games, concerts, and kitties” (a rough quote). Well, there are not many changes. Seems to be more travel, but basic content remains the same.

The goal of movie isn’t to show best moments and highlights, that’s for recaps. This movie is primarily for me, secondarily for loved ones. It shows life as it is. Not every day I am full of energy, do something or leave the house at all. And sometimes I forget to shoot important moments, because I prefer to live moments than to tick “filmed the day” to-do.

As a result:

• I didn’t miss a single day (one day is labeled WTF because “record” button should be pressed before, not after);
• 23 and a half minutes long (a record so far);
• I’m still use only a few effects, mostly without color grading, but somehow editing skill is growing;
• if I recall correctly, there are three “final” versions.

Authorizing result is easier this time - I see where I could have done better, but 23 minutes of cool, cute, and memorable video keep me from thinking badly of the movie.

I haven’t decided about the 2025 movie yet, but I’m taking it off just in case. I’d like to take a break or simplify the process, but year has already started. Probably, editing will be different again. This is the way.
