Conscious pause on task completion

One of the most effective techniques I try ti use is conscious pause after completing the task. It works for both personal and work stuff.
Goal is to make time to “breathe” for mind, handle completed task, maybe remember something that still needs to be done in the same context and after switch to other stuff.
Pause length depends on task complexity, general fatigue – and can be 10 seconds or 5 minutes.
Two good questions to complete the task:
- is everything done? (oh, crap, I forgot to check this case…)
- is something else need to be done? (ok, draft is ready, tomorrow I will proofread it, need to set reminder for that)
Important notice – during the pause, try not to do anything else. No social media/messenger, don’t check next actions in todo list.
It’s not the thing I do most of the times, but want to do more.
